An Oklahoma-based manufacturer has selected Tamboril Free Zone for its expansion into the Dominican Republic, highlighting the growing appeal of the country as a nearshoring destination for U.S. companies.
The company has leased a newly completed 4,500-square-meter industrial facility at Tamboril Free Zone and is currently installing equipment and preparing its operations. After signing its lease in April 2026, the company moved quickly through the setup process and is expected to begin production in August.

The project demonstrates how manufacturers can move rapidly from decision to production when supported by ready-to-operate facilities and an experienced local partner. Just four months after signing its lease, the company is on track to begin manufacturing operations.
